• Battery: Temperature changes can cause a weak battery to fail. Your technician should check your battery and make sure it has enough life to withstand the stress of cold weather.

• Fluids: Antifreeze keeps your car from overheating in the summer, and your engine’s fluids from freezing in the winter. Antifreeze should be flushed every two years, and all other fluids should be checked and topped off.

• Tires: To prevent slipping in cold and icy conditions, your technician should make sure your tires have adequate tread and proper tire pressure.

• Belts and Hoses: Essential to your engine’s performance, these parts become frail overtime. If they are too weak, they can fail and lead to a breakdown.

• Wiper Blades: Have your technician check for wear on your wiper blades, as well as proper installation and fit.
